Simple Stress Busters/ Relieve Tension
Your typical day may consist of waking up 5am, making breakfast, getting the kids ready for school, driving to work, sitting in traffic and finally getting to work. Then life in reverse, back in the car, picking the kids up from school, maybe even stopping off at the grocery store and cooking dinner, children’s home work and back to sleep.
Here are some simple stress busters to relieve tension:
Tip 1 – Buy Tennis Balls and use them for massaging your back. Simply put the tennis balls on the ground and lay on them. Roll around on them on your tension spots ! Your shoulders and lower back. This is great for parents who don’t have time or funds to get a professional massage or even for time in between appointments. Who needs to spend all of that money when you can buy tennis balls ! No appointments needed !!
Tip 2 – Breathe. Breathing is normally free and you should do it often ! How about a deep breath in ! How many times during the day when we are running around or focused on a task we forget to breathe. Really think about what happens to our bodies when we forget to breathe. Lack of oxygen flow to the brain and through our body causes many illness and disease. Research has stated by simply breathing we are supplying oxygen to our cells we will live longer and look younger. We breathe new life into our cells and diminish disease.
Many scientists believe that disease and infections can be caused by a lack of oxygen at the cellular level.
Do you have aches and pains? One technique that can help if done over time is visualizing breath going to the area of pain. Simply close your eyes and while breathing imagine that you are breathing air into that area of pain.
Tip 3 – Healthy Eating – Ok can you please just add an apple a day, a veggie or any fruits. The food we eat has an affect on your tension levels. As we all see so much research on food and the affects. Processed foods have a lot of chemicals and can change your thought process. Ever notice your child acting hyper after eating something unhealthy ? Well you might be eating some of the same things and it can affect you at some level.
Tip 4 – Laugh – You Tube- Watch a funny video or comedian ! Laugh Its free !! You tube is the best !! Easy access to comedy !
Tip 5 – Dance – Throw on some music and dance for a few minutes or even 40 ! Dance with your kids, your spouse, yourself ! You will get exercise and have fun at the same time !! You can find just about anything on youtube.
